Traits are the 'universal language' of life and allow us to compare organisms in different communities and ecosystems. We study the ecology, ecolution, and adaptation of various traits in marine environments. Primarily, the TEA Lab focuses on coloration and vision, however we also investigate how other universal traits, like morphology and physiology, help shape the functioning of ecosystems.
